HEAP

• HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) is a federally funded program designed to assist eligible low-income Ohioans with their winter heating bills.
• Residents of any licensed medical facility (hospital, skilled nursing facility, or intermediate care facility) are ineligible. Boarding/ rooming houses, group homes, or emergency shelters are ineligible for payment assistance. All persons who share a common kitchen or bath are considered members of the same household.

who qualifies?

 Anyone meeting the the HEAP 2010-2011 Income Guidelines and can provide the necessary documents listed below:

 

  1 person - $21,660 or less total gross annual household income

  2 person - $29,140 or less total gross annual household income

 

Each applicant must provide:

 Proof of income

  Proof of citizenship

 Copy of recent heating bill

 Copy of recent electric bill
