January

Windsor Casino -- January 15, 2 for $25, plus casino bonus.   Sold out.

February Mountaineer -- February 13 - 15.  $150 per person.  Get $30 in coin and $30 in food vouchers.  Great Valentine's Day gift trip.  Sold out

March

Akron Carousel Dinner Theater -- March 26, "King & I" - Cost is $80

April Riverdance --  April 3 - we are taking two busses - SOLD OUT but a wait list is available in case we get cancellations
May Mystery Trip -- May 4 - Hurry in and pick up a brochure about this one before the seats disappear.  Lunch is included.  Cost is $75.  Lots of Fun!  You don't know where you're going...but we guarantee you it'll be a good time!
June Cleveland Indians Baseball -- June 24  All you can eat buffet included  $65 if paid by February 29  SOLD OUT
July Boston for the 4th of July -- July 1 - 6  See the amazing Boston Pops Holiday concert live and so much more!  Cost is $1,147 per person based on double occupancy/ $1,450 per person based on single occupancy/$1,097 per person based on triple occupancy (two beds)
July Cleveland Indians Baseball -- July 29  $1 Hot Dog Night  Cost is $50 if paid by February 29

December Branson Christmas -- December 8 - 13  6 Days motorcoach transportation, 5 nights lodging, 11 shows, attractions, 12 meals.  Cost per person/two in a room is $950  one in a room is $1,200  that includes tax and gratuities

New!!!  Woodcarving Group -- meets Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.  Stop in to see if this hobby interests you.  Everyone is welcome.

 

Line Dancing Class Wednesday nights, 6 to 7:30 pm at Norwalk Maplehurst School -- $22.00 for a 6-week session -- Call 419-668-6245 to see when a new session starts

 

Crochet and Crafts Club -- Tuesdays, 1:00 pm, at the Norwalk Center.  

 

Nutrition class --  second Monday of the month, 12:00 noon.   Come hear Dawn Winkle from the OSU Extension Office.

 

Basket making class  --  Ruth Krantz is our teacher.  You must register and pay in advance to attend this class as our teacher buys all the supplies ahead of time and must know how much to buy.  Classes are on Wednesdays...call to find out what basket they make next month and the day class will be held.

 

Lunch Bunch -- The last Tuesday of each month.  Travel to various restaurants in the area.  We have a brochure listing the entire year's locations and they are also listed above.

 

Folding the newsletter -- Come out and help us fold the newsletters for mailing.  We always have a good time and a light refreshment afterward.  New volunteers always welcome!  Call to find out the date, as it varies.

 

Monthly birthday lunch --  Your lunch is free in your birth month if you eat at the center the second Thursday of the month...that is Norwalk's designated birthday lunch day.  Bring all your friends and have your birthday party at our place!  Your lunch is free and their meals (60+) are just a donation (suggested donation $2).

 

Water Color Classes -- Mondays.  A six-week water color class taught by local artist, Billie Smith.  Cost is $22.  Call for new class dates.

 

Hand & Foot card games --  Tuesdays, 12:00 - 3:30 pm

 

Computer Classes -- call to find out schedule -- covering emailing, folders, hardware upkeep, backing up information

 

Desktop Publishing -- call Deanie for more information

 

Last day lotto -- enter your name every time you visit the center.  A name will be pulled the last business day every month for an ever changing prize.

 

Blood Pressure Checks by Walgreens --  Second Wednesday each month, 10:30 am to noon, free blood pressure checks.

 

Engage your Brain, Pegs & Castles -- Thursdays, 12:15 pm -- Learn the thinking game of Pegs & Castles.

Hot lunches are served at the St. Mary's Parish Hall the third Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon on a donation basis.  All seniors welcome;  however, you must call 419-668-6245 to register by 10:00 am the second Monday of the month.
