 Pick-up times that meet your       schedule, including some last       minute reservations.

SERVICE HOURS:

In Huron County -- Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Norwalk City -- Monday through Saturday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

We also have station wagons available besides handicap and regular vans.

Extended hours are available through Huron County Transit 1-877-241-7433

Hot  Nutritious  Meals

Home Delivered Meals

Hot meals, meeting state guidelines, are delivered to the senior's home for the midday meal.  Friendly drivers also check on the well being of the senior.

 

 Home-style cooking made in our own kitchens

 

Shelf stable mealsare also made available   (these are food items that can be eaten when delivery cannot be made, as in the case of a snow emergency).

 

 Delivered by courteous drivers

   

To be eligible for the program:

 Age 60 years or older

 Huron County resident

 Homebound   (caregiver may also receive a meal)

 Has great difficulty preparing a meal

 

 

Meals On Wheels

 

This program is very similar to the "Home Delivered Meals"

program except it is available within the city limits of Norwalk only; and it depends on the help of many volunteers to deliver the meals.

To be eligible for the program:

            Norwalk City resident

            NO age requirement

            Homebound

            Has great difficulty preparing a meal

 

 

Congregate Meals

 

This program offers seniors the opportunity to enjoy a hot meal with the company of others.  Home cooked meals are served at our Norwalk and Willard sites, along with satellite sites through out Huron County.

General Schedule Of Meals:

        Norwalk -- Monday through Friday at 11:30

        Willard -- Monday through Friday 11:30 to 12:30

       Wakeman -- 3rd Wednesday of the month at noon

We can help with questions you have regarding other programs for seniors, getting assistance for special needs, and referrals to other sources and agencies.

        Golden Buckeye Card

        HEAP (federally funded program to assist low income             Ohioans with their heating bills)
